I’m Candice. Every project is an opportunity to tell a unique story through thoughtful design. I balance art direction and design strategy to make brands and products come to life.

I create compelling visual narratives with creativity and design thinking. For over a decade, I’ve provided design direction, creative strategy, and brand work to higher education, finance, healthcare, and biotechnology organizations in consumer and business-to-business capacities. Clients include Invitae, Ambry Genetics, EY (Ernst & Young), Hard Rock Cafe, Cox, and Rollins College.

  • Through early stage collaboration, competitor analysis, design thinking frameworks, and market research, creative design is a powerful strategic tool for organizations and businesses. Working with subject matter experts, I distill and disseminate complex information into visual stories that appeal to multiple audiences.

  • Brand design goes deeper than decoration and can create a powerful, cohesive visual story that emotionally connects with the audience. A well-defined brand playbook and system that is implemented consistently is key to increasing brand awareness and recognition.

  • I remove barriers and define processes so creatives can design for impact. I create template systems and utilize design matrices to manage in-house designers, contractors, and agencies so that we can do our best work together. By implementing a lean design process, we maximize efforts on high-impact visuals and move quickly and efficiently through production work.

  • I confidently manage projects from concept to pitch to on-time execution while helping others throughout the task management process. I provide art direction and guidance to designers and external agency partners. I develop and utilize template design systems and digital asset managers for efficiency, brand alignment, and swift execution. I also work closely with project owners to ensure project delivery is on time.

  • Some of my technical skills include Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, After Affects, Animate and Figma. Illustration skills (hand and digital). Basic animation and motion skills. Other software skills include project management tools, Mural, Miro, and LucidChart. Oh, and Microsoft PPT and Google Slides.
